Church Picnic 2009
Each year we try and get together for an old fashioned church picnic. We have three legged races, watermelon eating contest, pie eating contest, and all the other old fashioned events at a picnic. This year was a wonderful time of fellowship. We trust you will enjoy the photo gallery and additional info. on this great day for the Church of God at Marion.

We started the day by asking the Lord to keep the weather in check for us. Thank the Lord it was really good, not too hot, and accompanied by a light breeze. Children of all ages lined up for the events to try and win a little blue 1st prize ribbon. It was a tie in the watermelon eating contest with Bro. Randy Whitehead, and Sis. Tabby Pearson. The pumpkin pie award went to Bro. Jack Thawley. Sis. Kelby and Bro. Randy Whitehead retained the championship for the three legged race. The boys were on the ball field of all ages, and the little ones were in the creek. We had some great food thanks to the sisters, and a wonderful time in every way. God's people are the best to enjoy a day with like this. Our effort is to draw closer together as a body, and work together as a team, with Christ as the coach. We hope you enjoy the photos of this eventful day. Pray for the work here in Marion as we endeavor to see the kingdom of God advanced. Some may say how does this happen with a picnic, we always have visitors come for the day, and we trust that some seed is sewn.
