Truly Saved

This morning was quite a refreshing time for our congregation. I thank God for His people and giving me the opportunity so serve them. This morning we were in a heavenly place together in Christ. God came from the beginning of the service and anointed each portion. As the worship grew stronger for the Lord the conviction got heavier. In just a short period of time we seen 3 souls give their hearts to Christ. Oh how can we thank Him for all of His blessings to us. As we prayed with each of them, we gave them instruction how to truly be saved. In working with people at the altar we have seen many attempts to be delivered. I have witnessed preachers say, just ask God to forgive you and you will be saved. We often want to sinners to get to the resurrection of Christ before they go to the cross of Christ. We must inform sinners, and even saints that have fell in a moment of weakness and committed sin, that they must destroy the works of the flesh. Christ told us to take up our cross daily, why, it is the tool used to destroy the works of the flesh. The only thing that was destroyed at Calvary was Christ’s flesh. His spirit was still alive. Those seeking true salvation must be counseled to destroy the works of the flesh first, those works then need to be buried the same way the flesh of Christ was buried, then they can resurrect with Him in new life. If we as the ministry do not work with the lost to see the need of destroying the works of their flesh, they will only receive a surface experience and not true salvation. Thank God for deliverance and for His keeping power. Pray for those soul that started a new walk with Him today. God bless.
